My Project

My students love to learn while in play. Interesting toys inspire many questions and teacher-student as well as peer interactions. As special education preschool students, they are working on building dexterity and muscle strength. Manipulative play helps build strength and dexterity in small muscles. Puzzles also challenge problem solving skills and as an added benefit, these educational puzzles build upon other concepts being taught in preschool. My students have a new interest in finishing floor puzzles and I am so excited to offer them more puzzles. This beautiful rug will help to create a comfortable setting to work on puzzles, play with manipulatives, and experiment with blocks.
