My Project
Even at a young age, students are curious about coding and programming robotics. Using simple engineering, scientific organization, logic, and coding skills, our students will get to work creatively in creating solutions for a variety of challenges while developing important social and team skills.
Our project not only uses the Code N Go mice sets to teaching coding from Kindergarten to 2nd Grade, but they also use robotic model hands that they build to understand how the human hand works and how a robotic hand would need to mimic what it does for us.
Students will also engage with and understand how the HexBug nano robots model some real life bugs in the way they are designed, colored and decorated, and how they use and shape their environment.
Students will have the ability to grow individually through their own scientific work, but will also develop team skills as well as use critical questioning skills when working as a group.
I am a firm believer that everyone learns deeper and develops more complete understanding when they engage in a more hands-on experience and with multiple tools for both individual and team experiences.
