Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a middle school ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) teacher, I work with an incredible group of students who have a wide range of learning needs, strengths, and challenges. Many of my students benefit from small group instruction, hands-on learning, and access to adaptive technology to support their academic and social-emotional growth.

To create an inclusive and engaging learning environment, I’m requesting a MacBook and 2 iPads to enhance our classroom’s ability to integrate technology meaningfully into everyday learning.

These tools will allow me to better differentiate instruction, provide real-time feedback, and engage students through interactive apps, visuals, and assistive technologies.

How the Technology Will Be Used:

The MacBook will serve as a central hub for creating and managing digital resources, running accessibility tools, and facilitating student-led projects.

The iPads will be used in small groups for research, reading support, math interventions, and creative activities like video reflections or interactive storytelling.

For whole-class lessons, the devices will be rotated to support collaboration, student choice, and inclusion—especially for students who benefit from voice-to-text, screen readers, or visual learning tools.

This technology will not only help close the digital learning gap, but it will also ensure my students with special needs have access to the same opportunities as their peers. With your support, we can build a classroom where all students feel seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Thank you so much for helping make a difference in our learning community!
