This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My incoming sixth graders are eager to learn, creative, and resilient. They possess a genuine desire to explore, understand and make sense of the world around them. Coming back to school from distance learning has allowed students to demonstrate their resilience, perseverance and determination to succeed and cultivated a growth mindset.

The materials from this project will specifically target their academic needs using research and evidence based practices: small group instruction.

Across the nation, math scores have drastically declined due to remote learning. By utilizing small group instruction and these manipulatives will help get students close the achievement gap and prepare them for middle school!
