This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We currently have 17 students in an ICT setting. Many of our students are English language learners and/or students with disabilities. There are 2 teachers in my classroom and we prioritize small group instruction to meet the different needs of our students.
Small group instruction and centers require a lot of printing, laminating, and preparing tons of materials for each group and each learning center.
We have small group instruction each day in which teachers meet with a small group of students to meet their specific needs. Other groups of students are in other stations and learning centers.
The progress in our student learning in these small groups is evident. Not only is learning more impactful this way, but many of our students feel less anxiety working in smaller groups. These items will help the teachers in our classroom have the materials needed for our small group rotation time.
