My Students
This is my first year as a third grade teacher in a school that I began teaching in last year. Although my class is considered a general education classroom, my students have many different abilities.
My students come from many different backgrounds but we all share the common goal of wanting to learn.
As their teacher, I am responsible for their growth and learning in math, English, science and social studies. We work in cooperative grouping all around the room every day.
My Project
I am requesting a portable magnetic dry erase easel, with magnetic clips in order for my students to work in small groups. During cooperative learning, they will use the easel to demonstrate their knowledge. They will post work using the clips and they will work out assigned problems with one another on the board.
This easel will help foster independence and have them take ownership of their learning.
I am also requesting magenta toner for our classroom printer. I have the other colors but the printer will not work without all of the cartridges. I am looking forward to using the printer to do home-school communication.
