I am growing the minds of 20 first graders who have diverse learning styles, backgrounds and life experiences.
We will be doing many small groups this year.
We will be expanding our classroom to encourage diverse learners and interactive groups.
First graders are so sweet and special. They have great minds and want to learn. They are interested in all subjects but have a great interest in science and nonfiction. They learn best in small groups with close teacher interaction.
My Project
We do many small groups throughout the day. It is so nice to have a spot where the teacher can easily see all the students and even touch their book when needed. It keeps students focused and engaged while making sure everyone is comfortable.
We also have a need for one round student table for independent work.
Making sure the students are not cramped when working is so important for their success in the classroom. Another table will make sure every student has their own space and it will free up a lot of space for center time in the room.
