Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My incoming 27 fourth-graders are enthusiastic learners at a Title I elementary school in Brooklyn, NY. They are creative and resilient learners.
My diverse population of students will benefit from smaller group instruction to help bridge the learning gaps caused by the pandemic and provide individualized instruction.
Last year, I conducted small group instruction in a corner of my room, on the floor with lap desks which were uncomfortable for me and my students.
This new school year, I hope to be able to provide my students with a more comfortable and engaging learning environment. This markerboard kidney-shaped table will provide an area for students to work on their literacy and math skills in a small group.
