My Project
I currently teach an inclusion class, which is made up of students with language disabilities, learning disabilities, and medical disabilities, so small group teaching is imperative. This time is the most coveted time for me and my students. The stools I am requesting are great for students because they cannot lean back on two legs with them, and the legs will not bend and break while the students are seated. This is a problem I am most concerned about with my current stools.
As an inclusion teacher, students rely on me to provide the safest environment.
The whiteboards are imperative for small groups to do quick checks, practice steps in a process, and walk through multi-step math problems. My goals for this project are to increase small group learning centers, in all areas of learning. Students love small group time because they feel successful, get more attention, and get immediate help and feedback. The donations for this project will help students become more successful and provide them with better opportunities to understand and practice challenging content.
