Small Group Seating-- Help Make My Horseshoe Table Usable!

Help me give my students seating for small group work! My classroom has a small-group horseshoe table, but I have no student seating-- these stools will allow me to work with small groups on challenging concepts.

My Project

As a first-year teacher, I’ve been fortunate to receive many generous donations of supplies and furniture from veteran teachers who no longer need certain items. One of these donations is a large, horseshoe-shaped table, which I plan to use for small group instruction. This table will allow me to work closely with students based on their individual needs for assignments, projects, and skill development. It will also provide an additional space for student-led projects and seating for co-teachers, staff, or visitors.

However, while the table has great potential, I currently don’t have any student seating for it, and it has mainly become a catch-all for worksheets and materials.

To maximize the table’s use, I’m requesting six student stools that can be easily tucked under the table, as well as a shelf to organize worksheets and keep the table clear of clutter. These additions will allow me to create a more functional and organized space, where I can better support my students’ learning and foster collaboration.

By providing these essential items, you would help me transform this table into a central part of our classroom, creating a versatile space for group work, individualized instruction, and a more organized learning environment overall.
