This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am seeking donations for books that will not only support our curriculum by aligning with state standards but also provide essential background knowledge to enhance student comprehension. In order to better understand what they read, students need a strong foundation of background knowledge. These books will help build that foundation, allowing them to better engage with our other texts. We will use these books in small reading groups throughout the school year to help close reading comprehension gaps and foster a love for reading while equipping students with the skills they need to succeed academically."
