This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach reading to small groups of K-4th grade students. Each day, I see one group per grade level, and each small group is working on a different skill. The goal of our small group reading is to target the specific skills students need to work on to become better readers.
These games and activities are all tools that will be beneficial in keeping students engaged and enhancing their learning.
The materials I've selected will allow students to practice phonics skills, sight words, reading fluency, and spelling. These types of games and materials really help with student engagement!
