This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work in a k-3 school with some of the most amazing students. Most of the kids have been together for the last 2 years and help each other grow. They love reading and working with the teacher in a small group setting.
Help me give them the necessary materials for a successful small group instruction time.
The mirrors, soundbox boards, and whiteboards will help the kids so much with practicing skills to improve their reading. The books will reinforce the phonics skills we have been learning about and grow their confidence and new readers.
My students never give up and keep trying in order to learn all the sounds and letter names. Since we still need to practice letter sounds, these materials would really help them in the small group setting.
