it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Being part of a school community has given me the opportunity to see the need for small group instruction. Not all students learn the same, some enjoy whole group instruction but for the students who struggle with language and have different learning styles, a small group area setting will tremendously support their learning. What makes all my students special is their learning styles, abilities and how they understand the lessons. This table will allow me to create an open invitation to small groups, and still feel like an inclusive activity. My whole group lesson will consist of vocabulary, visuals, speaking prompts, but my small group students will have the opportunity to dive in deeper into language frames, vocabulary, or challenging activities. All students will see small group as an opportunity to have their needs met with a group of 3- 4 students learning from each other and me! This material will allow all students to feel like ONE big community where they come to address difficulties they may have or even explore challenging work with the guide of the teacher.
