Help me give my students a rainbow adjustable group table for small group instruction to meet students specific learning needs and support all our learners (including those with special needs).
My second-grade classroom is transforming from a traditional classroom of instruction to a technology-infused classroom of collaboration and exploration.
At my school, students have a passion for learning but face unique challenges with the support of engaged families.
All of our school's students are eager to learn and have great potential. That is not to say that our school is without its challenges; our students deserve to learn skills that they can apply in their technology-rich futures and careers. I feel that providing opportunities for students to work with age-appropriate technology helps our students become better learners and gives them the foundations for a tech-infused future.
My Project
We need a new small group table for our classroom. Our current table is round and difficult to hear and interact with students across of the table. It has a peel and stick white board surface that is warn down with scratches all over.
Effective and individualized reading and math instruction happens in small groups or one on one while huddled around the right table with a teacher.
Having a kidney-shaped reading table will help me to sit with small groups and lean in to listen, guide, and assist children in learning to read and conquer math concepts. The students will use the new table multiple times each day. The table will be used mainly during reading, writing, and math, but is used at various other times throughout the day as well.
