This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of manipulatives in any classroom is beneficial, as they help students learn by allowing them to move from concrete experiences to abstract reasoning. I have been able to see that my students benefit greatly from the use of hands-on materials. Every day when I meet with my students for small group instruction, we use various manipulatives, sand and other reading/writing/math tools. I write this project for Hand2Mind learning sets to use during small group instruction with my students.

Using Hand2Mind materials in a classroom provides a significant benefit by promoting hands-on, active learning through manipulatives, which leads to deeper understanding of concepts.
