This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items being requested for this project will help kick-off small group instruction within the preschool classrooms at my school. I have the pleasure to work with some amazing educators and students across 20 classrooms.

Ignite our instruction!

I am looking to foster a love for small group learning, even with our youngest learners in the district. Small group learning is a special time for students and educators to work closely together on skills with fun and engaging activities through a playful lens. Also, small incentives, such as fruit snacks or spinning the prize wheel always make their hard work worth while.

Small group learning for phonological awareness skills and early math instruction is crucial, especially for those students who will be entering Kindergarten next year and for our special education students. These materials will allow me to explicitly instruct students on targeted skills, as well as model for educators on how to work with students in a small group within their classroom.
