This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many students require additional support to help them reach grade level reading foundational skills. I am asking for picture cards to help my students develop phonemic awareness along with phonics flashcards for those students who are ready to decode simple words.
The phonics flashcards and timers are all great tools to use during small group literacy instruction.
These materials will be used during small group instruction when students work on individualized reading goals that are specific and attainable. Many of these activities are hands-on which is a great way for learning to be tactile.
