This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Math is so much more than just finding an answer--it's about collaborating with our fellow mathematicians, making our thinking visible and sharing our thoughts. It's important for our students to see themselves in the classroom & be proud of who they are. We spend a lot of time learning through engaging & interactive centers guided through small group instruction. The resources in this project will provide resources to create & organize our center activities. TPT provides fun activities to practice our math skills - like multiplication games, mazes & task cards that are much more fun than traditional worksheets.
Math isn't just in our text books, but everywhere in the world around us.
So many children are growing up and saying "I'm not a math person" because they struggled to make sense of their learning at a young age. To combat this, we want to develop a sense of love and engagement in mathematics so our students grow up loving math and fulfill their potential as engineers, mathematicians, scientists, artists and anything else they can imagine.
