it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A day in a kindergarten classroom is filled with the buzzing of learning with enthusiasm. Some of my biggest challenges are tailoring instruction for individual needs and getting the kids to work independently.
The students in my room come to me happy and excited to be at school.
They love to learn and want to please. Many of the students come from broken homes where money is tight. Most of them have very little skills when they enter school. Our school is a cozy little home away from home. We have a very little budget to afford many extras that would help give our kids the extra edge they need to be successful. We have a wonderful staff and administration that strives to make our kids college ready with 21st-century skills to succeed in the world.
My Project
These wonderful resources will help my students learn sounds of their letters, story elements and sequencing numbers from 1-30. These activities will help the kids grow their confidence and help to make them better readers and writers. The listening center will help kids hear stories read fluently and identify story elements such as plot, characters, problem and solution. The letter sort magnets will increase first sound fluency and help the kids start to read. The math puzzles will help the kids sequence their numbers from 1-30. The kids will love the hands-on activities that reinforce the standards we are working on.
