This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come to me with a range of abilities, backgrounds, and languages. The use of manipulatives provides a concrete way for students to experience abstract concepts and helps to bridge language barriers. Additionally, the pandemic has left students with gaps in their learning that make it challenging for many to successfully navigate grade-level content.

These family engagement literacy packs will provide students with the opportunity to work with multiple concepts in a concrete way that other manipulatives simply can't provide.

I would love to be able to provide my students with access to every possible tool to help them achieve success, which is why I am reaching out to the DonorsChoose community for help. Thank you!
