My Project

Our Project

In our Spanish classroom, we are passionate about expanding learning beyond the textbook by experiencing culture firsthand.

Our goal is to help 10–30 students travel to Costa Rica in June 2026 through EF Tours—a life-changing opportunity to immerse themselves in language, culture, and global citizenship.

To make this dream possible and affordable for all students, we’re launching a biweekly cultural fundraiser where students will sell refreshments—specifically slushies, a popular and student-approved treat—on campus.

This project will provide us with the tools to get started: a budget-friendly slushie machine, disposable cups, a receipt book, and a locking cash box. In addition to equipment, we would also greatly benefit from donations of a variety of slushie flavor syrups, including student favorites like watermelon, fruit punch, green apple, grape, and cherry. These materials will not only support our fundraising efforts but also teach students entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and collaboration.

Each student will have the chance to contribute toward their trip costs, reducing the financial burden on families. With your support, students won't just be selling slushies—they’ll be building toward a meaningful global learning experience that will stay with them for a lifetime.
