The majority of my students have Autism Spectrum Disorder and are wonderfully passionate about their interests. One of my students' main interests is animals. This year is the first year that Zoology is being offered at our school and I am lucky enough to be teaching it!
To make the study of Zoology more hands-on and bring it closer to home, please help me get the supplies to house the newest member of our classroom: a corn snake!
Having an animal in the classroom will help my students to have a live example of a vertebrate as well as help them to learn to take responsibility for another living thing.
Your donations will aid in funding a terrarium for the snake to live in as well as all of the necessary accessories for the snake to have a comfortable life. This will include a heating mat, some hides for the snake to burrow in, and a few other fun things. I can't wait to give my students this class pet and will greatly appreciate any donations you choose to give!
