My Project

It’s the bottom of the ninth, the bases are loaded — and thanks to Magic Tree House: A Big Day for Baseball and the Fact Trackers, our 3rd-grade team is ready to hit a home run in reading and history!

With Jack and Annie as their guides, students will step onto the baseball field of the 1940s and meet Jackie Robinson, a true American hero who changed the game forever.

Through this exciting adventure, my students will focus on essential reading strategies like predicting, questioning, and summarizing, all while being engaged in an inspiring story of courage and determination.

The Fact Trackers will let them dig even deeper, connecting fiction to real-world history and building their research skills along the way. This project isn’t just about reading books — it’s about opening doors to powerful lessons, sparking a love of history, and encouraging each student to become a lifelong learner.
