Our academically and intellectually gifted students are so motivated and want to keep learning at the next level! Not only are they learning crucial content, but they are building soft skills, such as problem-solving, logical reasoning, and collaboration. When I first met them, some were reluctant to work together or persevere, but providing them with opportunities to do so has pushed them out of their comfort zone and is equipping them with a whole new skill-set.
My Project
We are still operating in a virtual environment, and some of my students will be doing so all semester or all year. While I know they could access similar resources online, there really is nothing better than the feel of a book in your hands.
My students absolutely LOVE being detectives and solving mysteries.
What better to way to do that than by reading good literature and seeing if they can figure out the answer to the problem!
