Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students love playing basketball, and our students love talking about basketball. They start each day talking about their favorite players in the NBA, how they can't wait to play after school at the playground, or showing everyone they can "break" anyone's ankles with a crossover.
Simply having new equipment will make a difference in our students' minds.
Dribbling or shooting with a new basketball makes them feel great, helps them build confidence in themselves, and provides an opportunity for them to have fun. We will be using the balls to practice dribbling, shooting, passing, strategies, and playing games.
