My Project
It is with the mastery of any art form, such as ceramics, that a student's sensory discernment, intuition, critical insight, imagination, self-awareness, and perceptions of phenomena is increased and heightened.
Children will show many parts of themselves through clay experiences
Clay play fosters eye-hand coordination. Soft clay is receptive and responsive to all kinds of emotional expression. Clay is so fascinating that some children work for long periods without any adult motivation to maintain their interest. The process of working with this natural material to create a unique clay project supports personalized learning, sensory development, fine motor skills, self esteem, self expression, problem solving skills, discipline and pride in a child.
