This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach visual arts at an elementary school where more than 50% of students come from low-income households. It is my goal for my students to engage in art class without paying for any materials out of pocket.
This project is to provide every student with a sketchbook.
I often tell my students that we do not need expensive supplies to create amazing work. In my art class, we use sketchbooks for everything from warm-up drawings and practicing new skills, to brainstorming, sketching, and drafting for major projects. Every art student deserves a sketchbook to call their own. Your donations will help me keep my promise to provide every student with what they need for a well-rounded visual arts education free of charge to them.
