This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students in my 6th grade art classroom do many art projects throughout the year, all of which need paper! The 18x24 paper will be used for students to create watercolor maps. This project ties in with science and social studies, where students learn about different geographic landmarks and how to read and create a map key. The smaller watercolor paper will be used for many projects like rainbow 1 point perspective cities, analogous color landscapes, etc. The mixed media will have the most uses in our classroom. We will use it for recycled paper collages, tessellated drawings, personal interest zines, and so much more! Your donations will help supply this paper and make these many projects possible.
