Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach UTK and most of my students are barely 4 when they start with me, and because of this, the regular school chairs are just too big and heavy for them. Many can't reach the floor which definitely affects their ability to write, cut, and engage in hands on learning. I am hoping to get these small sized beanbag stools for my very young, and often times very small students. My little ones definitely wiggle and fidget, and come to me with varying levels of ability and needs.
Flexible seating is beneficial to all, but especially helpful to those kids with sensory issues and/or special needs.
It helps young students focus and learn, while strengthening their core and improving posture.
