My Students
My students walk into the classroom excited and ready to learn every day. Every one of them is unique in their own way. Each student has a different disability and they are in a self-contained classroom. They come from a variety of economic and cultural backgrounds. They enjoy every aspect of school whether it is mastering a new skill, interacting with other students and teachers or just being together in their classroom singing and learning.
My students work hard every day and do so with smiles on their faces.
They take great pride in everything they do. They continue to inspire me every day and making teaching so much fun.
My Project
The materials will help my students with sitting and attending to a lesson. The chairs and alternate seating will give them the ability to move during a lesson without getting up and walking around the class or bouncing in a hard chair. Being able to find different movements in while sitting will enable them to focus and attend to the lesson for a longer. The weighted blanket and signing toy help with calming down and re-centering themselves.
