Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a kindergarten teacher, and my students need a new carpet to sit and learn on. The carpet we have is old, and full of dirty stains. I always feel bad making them sit on this rug during instruction time, but they are too little to pay attention from their tables (just too many distractions.) I would love to have a fresh, brand new carpet for them to sit on. I don’t feel comfortable asking their families for donations, because many are struggling financially. They would donate because they are kind, grateful, and would give anything to help their kids. I don’t want to add any burden to their lives.
