Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Children with special needs encounter so many challenges in their daily education. Having size appropriate and comfortable seating will help minimize some of these distractions. Feeling comfortable in a classroom setting naturally helps increase intrinsic motivation and excitement.

I have fourteen of the most precious, lovable, and unique students.

They have a variety of special needs, such as autism and cerebral palsy. This doesn't get in their way of their spirit and shining personalities. Our school is a high poverty title one school. The students all receive free breakfast and lunch. This means the majority of the families come from poverty.

My Project

I am requesting a set of chair cubes and soft seats. The children need comfortable and size appropriate furniture to sit in while they engage in their learning. My children have a variety of special needs. They have a spectrum of difficulties with physical development, fine and gross motor skills. Having a variety of special seats will help each child find an individual place that best suits them. This will help each child learn at his or her optimal level. The tough storage stool is another seat option. The storage aspect assists with organization. Having an orderly class is essential for children with special needs. They frequently need order and structure.

As a result of major budget cuts new supplies and new furniture have been limited or nonexistent.

Having a classroom stocked with the appropriate supplies and materials is essential for my students to reach their maximum potential. Thank you for taking the time to support my classroom.
