This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Time spent together is time well spent! In our classroom, we love to spend time learning with and from one another. Unfortunately, we often have to do this at desks or standing up. Having a rug for morning meetings, reading time, and for lessons is critical for my students' learning. They will benefit from having their own spot on the rug, which will promote their own spatial awareness and independence. It also will be a space that everyone has direct access to see what is on the board, allowing for more retention and hopefully happier students!
Having a comfy rug to sit on will allow my students to enjoy learning time!
A change in seating is so important for student engagement. I also love that this rug has marked squares where every student can comfortably sit in their own box. This will help with keeping carpet time organized and enjoyable for my wonderful 2nd graders.
Your donation will help me give my students a comfortable and safe place to sit. Having a rug that each student can sit and listen comfortably, while getting a break from being in a hard chair, is so important for their well-being. It is something that will be well used and well loved!
