My Students
We are a school that is home to over 600 rural students who service students not just academically but are there to foster meaningful relationships that last a lifetime. I am currently transitioning from Special Education to a 5th-grade general education position which I am more than excited about! My goal is to make sure that I am able to reach all students that come to my classroom especially students that struggle academically.
My goal is to make sure that students when they finally arrive back to school from COVID-19 they feel safe and secure, and are able to feel comfortable spending their time in my classroom.
I hope to expand their vocabulary, further their understanding of grade-level text, and show them alternative ways to make learning fun.
My Project
The modern desk will provide me with another great way for students to be able to learn but in a more progressive way. As of right now, I have a podium with a seat that sits higher that my students love! They fight over who gets to sit there. If I can get another standing desk I will be able to provide another student with an additional way of being able to learn without having to sit at a traditional desk. I also hope to use the beanbag chair when I am working with small groups whenever COVID-19 no longer restricts us during stations. Both of these awesome items will do wonders in my classroom.
