Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I can’t wait to meet my future students and discover what makes each of them special. I know they’ll come into our classroom with a wide range of needs, strengths, and personalities—and I want to create a space that celebrates all of that. My students will be energetic, curious learners who thrive when given the tools to move, collaborate, and take ownership of their learning. The flexible seating in this project—wobble chairs, stackable stools, and fidget-friendly chair bands—will make a big difference in how students stay focused and engaged. Wobble chairs will give active learners a safe way to move without leaving their seat. Stackable stools will allow for easy transitions during group work and learning centers. The chair bands will support students who need to release energy in subtle, productive ways.
When students feel comfortable in their space, they can focus more, collaborate better, and learn with confidence.
My goal for this project is to build a classroom that is welcoming, inclusive, and flexible—where every student has the chance to do their best work in a space that works for them. With your support, I’ll be able to start the year with a classroom that meets my students' needs from the very beginning.
