Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Remember those cold white tile floors that were loud and slippery when you were in school? We need something to solve this problem. Give our students a comfortable place to be ready to learn.
Our Kindergarten students live in a low-socioeconomic environment where school is the best part of their day.
Many of the students don't have their own room or bed at home. We try to make their time in school energizing, safe, and fun. Our school houses 649 students in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade.
My Project
I find myself on the floor with my students most of the day. Bright comfortable carpets will allow everyone in the room (including parents and administrators) a place to listen, read, create, engage and learn all activities presented. I have an open door policy for visitors to participate in the school day. I want the students to feel proud to bring their parents to our room and not worry about the uncomfortable, hospital looking floor.
All donations giving to this project will make our classroom full of energy, enthusiasm and excitement where all will want to attend.
I want to make our room the best place possible for my students to feel so comfortable that the learning comes easy!
Thank you so much in advance.
