This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach an incredible group of students in a District 75 setting. They are bright, curious, and full of potential. Many of my students have sensory needs that, when met, help them stay calm, focused, and ready to learn.

I’m requesting 6 sensory chairs and a set of sensory toys to create a classroom environment that supports both emotional regulation and academic success.

I am also asking for SEL books .

These tools will give students the sensory input they need—whether that’s movement, tactile stimulation, or a calming space to regroup.
