My Project
Every year, I have 120 new students walk into my classroom and each of the students come into the room with unique needs. While some of the needs are easy to determine other needs are not. Last year with the help of donors, I was able to give my students the opportunity to work outside. The students name the outdoor learning space "The Run Away". Like last year, I want to continue to empower my students not only academically but physically and mentally.
To do this, this year, I want to give them the option to either work sitting down or work standing up.
Giving the students the choice to sit or stand, in the classroom, will improve their ability to focus and stay on task in class which will then improve their ability academic performance. But the benefits do not stop there and only time will tell how great they will be.
