My Students
I start each lesson by calling each table group of students to the floor. That's when the complaining begins. "Teacher, they are sitting to close to me." "Teacher, I don't know where to sit." How wonderful it would be if every student had there own personal space to sit, learn, and grow!
My class consists of 21 vibrant 2nd graders.
Our class is lively and eager to learn. We absolutely love to write about anything and everything. There is never a dull moment in our classroom. From hands-on learning activities to Interactive SmartBoard lessons, learning is always an adventure in our class.
The majority of my students come from military families. Thankfully, their mothers and fathers serve our country unselfishly. Their parents are deployed for some or all of the school year. I try to provide them with structure and routines at school to keep that portion of their lives constant.
My Project
The needed resource will better enrich the lives of each student within the classroom in many ways. Students will be able to get started immediately on the class assignments, which in turn will cut down on downtime. Also, students will be able to learn more because I will not have to stop and figure who sits where and how to space the students out.
Student engagement and learning are key to the lives of each and every student that steps foot in the classroom. Those things should not be lost due to issues such as where to sit. Our students deal with enough that hinder their learning and a place to sit shouldn't be one. My 2nd graders come in every morning with an eagerness to learn. I match that eagerness with giving them my best. Help me give them the best.
This donation will help my class in numerous ways.
My students love coming to the floor and sharing what they've learn. From math to social studies, we spend time together exploring each subject matter and talking about how it relates to us. Furthermore, they love sharing about their lives too. How excited they get when they tell the class their parents are back safe from overseas from protecting our country. Your donations will help keep sharing time alive.
