My Project
Students in first grade often benefit from using seat rugs for several reasons, such as, learning boundaries, routine and structure. It also help with organizing class more effectively during group activities like storytime, calendar time, or lessons on the floor.
Seat rug for my students will promote order, comfort, and engagement in a successful learning environment.
With a designated spot on the rug, my students will be less distracted by peers and better able to concentrate during whole group instruction or activity. Sitting on the hard floor for extended periods can be uncomfortable. Rugs provide a softer, warmer surface that encourages focus and participation.
My students are curious and want to learn about their community and the world around them, sitting in a group on the rug will help my students take turns, build listening skill, and helps build a sense of community and inclusion.
