it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a first-year kindergarten teacher, I’m working hard to create a warm, welcoming, and engaging space where my students can learn, grow, and feel at home. One key piece that’s missing in our classroom is a large rug — a simple but powerful tool that helps foster community, structure, and comfort.
Our classroom rug will be the heart of our day: where we gather for morning meetings, story time, lessons, and meaningful conversations.
It will be a place where little learners build friendships, develop routines, and find a sense of belonging.
Unfortunately, classroom rugs are expensive, and as a new teacher, I’m working with limited resources. With your support, I can give my students a soft, safe space to sit, learn, and thrive together.
