My Project
Our classroom is a vibrant space full of energy, imagination, and growing minds—but we’re missing one key piece to help bring it all together: a classroom rug. A rug may seem like a simple addition, but in a 2nd grade classroom, it becomes the heart of our learning community.
This rug will be our gathering place—a spot where we come together each morning for our meeting, share stories during read-alouds, explore new ideas in lessons, and work in small groups throughout the day.
It will give students a comfortable, defined space to sit, think, and collaborate. For many of my students, this rug will also become a safe, cozy place where they feel a sense of belonging and routine.
