My students need flexible seating options. With so many different learning styles, I feel it's important to allow them the freedom to choose what "setting" is more comfortable for their specific needs.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a melting pot of happiness! My class consists of 18 (in the morning) and 18 (in the afternoon) of the most loving, most hard working little people one can ever meet. Their attitude and desire to learn makes any teacher's job worthwhile.
These students are a family, with each one willing to help the other.
Seeing their positivism makes me strive to become a better teacher each day. Our school has been designated a “STEAM” school and my goal is to do my part lo live up to that title.
My Project
What do you get when you add STEM plus Arts? Well STEAM, of course! Our school has recently been designated with title of STEAM and it is a collaborative and cross curriculum responsibility. The benefit of having flexible seating option is that my children will have the opportunity to stimulate their senses and learn in their own comfortable setting. Flexible seating also allows children to problem solve and develop patience as they learn to share and take turns. Research shows that this type of learning environment plays an important part in academic success. When the children are comfortable, learning comes more easily.
