My Students

I teach at a wonderful Title I school in our School District. Over half of our 3rd-grade students receive free or reduced-price lunch. We have students of all races, economic backgrounds, and family structures. Almost half of our 3rd-grade class is bilingual in Spanish and English! I have a wonderful class of 15, bright, and eager students. We love our classroom and call it our home away from home!

Many of our students receive fuel bags with food for the weekend, and we have wonderful nonprofits in place to help with other needs as they may arise.

These students deserve nothing but the best as they continue their education towards finding their passion in life.

My Project

Small group instruction drives student learning and students thrive in a small group setting! New stools, dry erase markers, and a dry erase board will help make our small group time more engaging and comfy! Students look forward to our small group time where they can receive direct instruction developed to meet their individual needs. Making this space in our classroom engaging and comfortable will add to the learning experience and increase student engagement. These new stools will be an exciting change of seating for the students and the dry erase markers will allow us to work on the many skills we learn in 3rd grade!
