My Project
Teachers must have a flexible teaching style to provide students with a flexible learning environment. Flexible seating can improve focus and attention and increase thinking skills. I have had great success with it over the years.
Please help me provide students with a relaxed, yet highly motivating learning environment. I would love for my students to feel safe expressing themselves and leaving their worries at the classroom door. I want everyone who enters my classroom to sit back, relax, and let the learning begin.
As the ELA teacher for the entire 5th grade, small group instruction is a part of my daily life. With flexible seating, students can lie down, sit, or stretch out as they complete their learning tasks, allowing me to focus on working with my small groups.
This classroom project was brought to life by Hawai'i State Dept. of Ed and Marc & Lynne Benioff.
