Help me give my students a classroom carpet where they can comfortably sit and listen to reading activities and participate in small group activities, instead of having them sit on the cold floor.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class is a severely handicapped class. My students have been identified as having intellectual disabilities, autism, and visual impairments. They may also be wheelchair bound.
Students with autism greatly benefit from tactile and visual activities.
This helps them better interpret and understand what is being communicated to them. It would be nice to have a place for a circle time where they can listen to stories and participate in meetings comfortably. Sitting on a carpet would provide a great time for them to participate in story telling as they will be able to comfortably sit on the floor.
My Project
My class is a severely handicapped class. My students have been identified as having Intellectual disabilities, Autism, and Down Syndrome.
Students with special needs greatly benefit from tactile and visual activities.
This helps them better process the information and understand what is being communicated to them. The meeting area is a common place for my students to gather for play, meeting, read books, and lay down. When we gather, students carry their chairs with them and bring it to the meeting area.
Most of the students greatly benefit in read aloud. They look at the pictures in the book and read along with the teacher. It is also a perfect opportunity for interaction and comprehension activity.
Since we do not have a carpet, students have to bring their chairs in the meeting area so that they will not sit on the floor instead. Most of them would require assistance in carrying the chairs as they are heavy and students have difficulty balancing and controlling their gross motor movement.
We need a carpet in our classroom to provide students with a comfortable area to gather, participate, and learn.
