Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are in a new room this year that is spacious and set up for station work. It has a sink, which we did not have last year and had to travel to another part of the building to wash dishes and get water for planting. This room has a sink, but it is an old porcelain hand sink. Sure is better then what we had and we are grateful, but utility sink would enhance work we need to get done.
My students need an environment that is easy to negotiate and work in due to learning and developmental challenges.
We need a space that mimics real-life vocational settings to encourage familiarity with job-task exploration and experience. This utility sink will do just that as it looks like one they may encounter on a job shadow or internship.
