Singing And Dancing While We Learn

My students need a CD player, music CD's, and ankle/wrist bells.

This project is fully funded

A preschool classroom, created to meet the needs of children with developmental delays. My students work is play. My work is to provide an environment rich in educational opportunities mistaken for play.

My students are 3, 4, and 5 year olds with developmental delays. My students frequently have difficulty engaging in structured or teacher directed activities.

My students need a CD player, music CD's, and wrist/ankle bells to encourage interaction. Music is a great way to reach all children. Music encourages children to participate in group activities and engage in learning opportunities. Music and movement also teach imitation in it's most basic form (physical imitation of hand motions or dance movements). This is extremely important because imitating is the earliest form of learning.

With your help we can bring music and movement to some wonderful little students. As the students show an interest in music activities they will begin to imitate. This is the most basic form of learning. With your help my students can learn to learn!
