This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is a Title I Funded Public Kindergarten in Southern California. About 2/3 of my students are English language learners. At our school we strive to help students become leaders who value quality education and embrace their role as contributing members of our diverse community. My students are amazing, and your contributions will make a huge impact on them everyday! Thank you.
My Project
In TK/Kinder we do a lot of singing. I mean a lot, and the students love it. These songs are not all fun and games, even though it sure feels like it! They teach vocabulary, rhyming, word play, and letter sounds. Help me make the connection from our favorite songs to books that are available in our classroom!
What better way to spark confidence and independence than giving a child a book they can read all on their own.
knowing the words will help students with 1:1 tracking a very important goal for TK/Kinder students as well as help my emerging English speakers with their oral language. Not only will these books aide in literacy skills it will foster a life long joy for reading books, a gift that will keep on giving for a lifetime! Thank you for your consideration, your donation will impact our classroom everyday for years to come.
